| Neuroma is a growth of nerve tissue on nerve fiber found most commonly in between the third and forth metatarsal heads. |

| Indications |
|
|
|
| Indications of a Neuroma include: Burning, numbness or pain when standing. The pain is felt as a shooting pain affecting the two toes next to where the neuroma is located. |
|

| Cause |
|
|
|
| The pressure and pain commonly results from misalignment of the foot causing pressure on the joint or the pinching of the enlarged section of nerve where it passes between the metatarsal heads. Improperly fitting shoes can be a factor as well. |
